Yoga Practitioner Training
2026/2027
Welcome to Roots, a unique 9-session yoga foundation course crafted for those who love yoga and want to go deeper – without the commitment or pressure of teacher training. Inspired by the Tree of Yoga, this course weaves together authentic yoga practice including indepth exploration of yogic postures (asana), breathwork (pranayama) & meditation along with a focus on the philosophy, subtle anatomy and history of the practice. The course aims to give you a holistic sense of the ever-expanding, life long methodology for well-being contained within yoga. This 9 session course over 9 months will give you an opportunity grow and deepen you practice beyond what’s possible within an hour long class or a one off retreat or workshop.
Facilitator & Accreditation
The course is overseen and facilitated by Alice Vignoles-Russell, E-RYT 500 Experienced Yoga Teacher, MPhil Intercultural Theology, Trinity College Dublin. In 2026/2027 the Roots will be facilitated by the wonderful Manasi Sridhar. Alice is the founder of Macha Yoga Studio and a dedicated and passionate teacher who has studied in Ireland and India, with a deep appreciation and experience of the whole spectrum of “what yoga is”. This course is motivated by a gap in the current educational system of yoga where there are very little options to deepen your practice without being obliged to pursue a teacher training. This course is offered in the hopes to provide a holding space and framework for each individual to pursue this transformative practice for themselves. Alice is an accredited teacher trainer with Yoga Alliance US, the primary international accreditation body for yoga. The course will not certify you to teach yoga, but if you decide at the end this path is for you it will provide you with a great foundation of knowledge and experience to do so. Guest teachers will be invited to participate in the training to broaden the scope of practice and experience offered to participants.
I can’t recommend Macha Yoga highly enough! Alice and all the teachers have a deep knowledge of yoga, are friendly, have lovely open hearted energy and are enthusiastic about what they do. There are always alternatives to poses offered for those of us who are less flexible and I always come away from any class with a peaceful mind.
